What We Do, Every Day

Six interconnected programs designed to feed bodies, warm homes, raise up students, and remind neighbors they belong.

Program 01 · Food

Firepit Kitchen

A free community kitchen every Saturday and a monthly food-box delivery program for home-bound seniors.

What started as a single pot of chili shared between neighbors has grown into more than 18,000 meals served. We cook with whatever's in season, accept anyone who's hungry, and never ask questions. Saturday dinner is just dinner — with friends.

  • Free Saturday community dinners (5:30 — 8:00 PM)
  • Monthly food-box delivery for 40+ home-bound seniors
  • Holiday Thanksgiving & Christmas meals for 400+ guests

Program 02 · Emergency Aid

Warm Home Fund

Emergency assistance for utilities, heating, and essential home repairs — so no family ever has to choose between warmth and groceries.

When the temperature drops below freezing and the heat goes off, we don't ask families to fill out a 12-page application. We listen, verify, and act — usually within 72 hours.

  • Up to $750 per household for utility / heat emergencies
  • Direct payment to utility company — no checks to navigate
  • $98,000 distributed to 246 households since 2023

  • $2,500 annual award, renewable up to four years
  • One-on-one community mentor
  • Open to trades, two-year, and four-year programs
